This Privacy Policy applies to all data collected through cockroachjantaofindia.org. By joining CJoI, you consent to this policy. Governed by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India).

What Data We Collect

  • Full name and email address (required for membership)
  • Mobile number (used for chapter coordination only)
  • State and Lok Sabha constituency (for chapter assignment)
  • Self-selected role/occupation (optional)
  • A one-way SHA-256 hash of your IP address - the original IP is never stored

How We Protect Your Data

  • Data stored on Supabase (Singapore region) - ISO 27001 certified
  • AES-256 encryption at rest; TLS 1.3 in transit
  • Row-Level Security (RLS) prevents public API from reading member records
  • Server-side only database access - keys never exposed to the browser
  • Admin access protected by MFA and full audit logging

How We Use Your Data

  • To register and maintain your CJoI membership
  • To connect you with your local Lok Sabha constituency chapter
  • To send policy briefings and movement updates (opt-out available)
  • We NEVER sell, rent, or share your data with third parties or advertisers

Your Rights Under DPDP Act 2023

  • Right to Access: Request a copy of all personal data we hold
  • Right to Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Right to Erasure: Request complete deletion from our systems
  • Right to Grievance: Lodge a complaint - we respond within 7 working days
